From early on, I found myself drawn to things that asked a little more of me—new ideas, unfamiliar paths, small challenges that nudged me forward. I didn’t set out to be bold, but I learned to trust that first instinct to explore, to try, to see what might be possible. Those early choices, often made without much fanfare, slowly shaped the way I move through the world.
Over the years I’ve travelled widely - across continents, cultures and conversations - gathering not just memories, but insights into human nature, resilience and the quiet strength found in everyday lives. These experiences have shaped my writing, infusing it with authenticity, empathy and a deep appreciation for the stories we all carry. Whether through business, travel or personal reflection. I’ve come to believe that every life holds wisdom worth sharing.
I began writing at 70, guided first by the stories that arrived as quiet ideas—scenes, characters or moments that seemed to belong in places far from home. My fiction grew from these sparks of imagination, allowing me to step into different parts of the world through the lives of the people I created. It was a new chapter for me, shaped not by expertise but by curiosity and the simple pleasure of following where a story wanted to go.
After 46 years as an entrepreneur - building businesses across commerce, services, food, property development, trading, franchising, manufacturing and mining - I’ve walked through both peaks and valleys. Reflecting on that journey I often wondered what kind of guidance might have made the road smoother and the burdens lighter. From that quiet pondering emerged the urge to write - a earth felt offering shaped by experience, resilience and a desire to help others navigate their own paths.
